Positions


Sales Consultant - You will be responsible for sourcing and closing sales to large accounts. You will be expected to generate a lead list, cold-call on prospective clientele, successfully close new business, and cultivate and maintain current accounts. The sales cycle includes identifying key decision-makers and influencers in the customer organization, establishing contact, and working with support engineers and the customer to offer a solution that the customer will buy.

Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of corporate IT market, preferably with experience selling into financial institutions. 3-5 years IT sales experience. History in or general knowledge of client-server applications and expertise in Excel a strong plus. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. MBA degree is preferred.


Support Engineer - You will play a key role in our company's growth by helping make existing and new customers successful with the XL2J product, and by providing business and technical expertise to XL2J customers. You will manage and deliver customer engagements by providing guidance and/or execution based on customers' needs and requirements; work individually and/or with customer teams; provide formal feedback to help XL2J set future product direction based on customer requirements and successes; and design and develop solutions that will be reusable for other customers.

Qualifications - The ideal candidate has a passion for realizing business requirements into deployed solutions, and has a proven track record of delivery to clients. Must possess lead-level engineering skills in relevant technologies (Java, J2EE, XML, VBA, Excel) as well as facility with popular Java server environments (IPlanet, WebSphere, WebLogic, TomCat, JRun) and familiarity with Windows NT, Solaris, Linux, and HPUX. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be willing to travel 50 - 75%. This candidate thrives in a dynamic start-up environment, and must be willing to be hands-on by designing and implementing solutions. Position requires a BS in CS or equivalent. Six or more years experience in a combination of application software development, technical consulting, and client management is preferred. Salary and title will be commensurate with experience.
